Group Instruction
Group classes are a wonderful way to introduce your pet to training! Our group classes meet for approximately one hour each week for 4 to 6 consecutive weeks. Classes are fun and positive reinforcement based--no more boring drills and drudgery! Read our class descriptions to find the right class for you!
PPS 101 Puppy Preschool—for puppies 10 to 16 weeks.
Puppy Preschool is a 6-week, fun-filled introduction to training for you and your puppy. PPS 101 emphasizes early socialization with new people and dogs and provides information on house training, play biting, and prevention of problem behaviors. PPS 101 also introduces basic commands such as sit, stay, down, and leave it.
Best Friends—for dogs and puppies 16 weeks and up.
Best Friends 101 is our 6-week basic obedience course. With fun, easy to follow training techniques, you will teach your pet to sit, down, stand, stay, come, and heel. BF 101 also includes information on canine learning, canine communication, and common behavior problems we experience with our pets.
Best Friends II—CGC Prep—for graduates of BF 101 or with instructor approval.
Best Friends 102 is a 6-week continuation of BF 101, emphasizing increased reliability to commands as well as preparation for the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen Test. The class utilizes fun games and exercises to reinforce learning. Class 6 will include Canine Good Citizen testing for interested students.
Total Recall—for all dogs and puppies with basic obedience skills.
Total Recall is a fun and rewarding 4-week course that will help your pet learn a happy, confident, and reliable recall. Ensure your pets safety with the gift of training this very important command!
Rally-O--for graduates of BF 101, dogs who have earned a CGC, or with instructor approval.
Rally-O is a 6 week introduction to the new AKC sport of Rally Obedience. Class content will teach Rally-O signs, exercises, and courses for AKC Rally Novice.
Petite Pets--for dogs under 20 pounds.
Training very small dogs can be very challenging! Petite Pets allows your small pets to learn in a safe environment--only small dogs allowed!--while addressing the special management and training challenges of owning toy-sized breeds. Petite Pets will meet for 6 consecutive weeks, beginning in week one with an owner-only orientation. Subsequent classes will teach polite leash-walking, sit, down, stay, come, and leave-it.
